It’s Friday! Yee-haw!

Yesterday was our 15th wedding anniversary, so we’re sneaking away today for a full day out by ourselves and staying over in the city. I’m not excited. At. All.

We’ve also declared it a no school day, so the children are whining and complaining and begging us to please give them some math to work on. At least.

Melissa asked me what we were going to do. “He’s never been to that big bridge downtown with the trails around it, so we’re going to run over there,” I told her. She paused and said very sarcastically, “Wow, y’all really know how to have a good time.” Snort out loud. I love that girl.

We’re also going to do a wee bit of shopping, which is quite comical. Neither of us are shoppers. Of course, we are going to the sports store, so that’s kind of different, right? Stop laughing at me.

I picked up this dress at JCPenney’s and I’m going to be brave and wear it tonight. I’ve never worn anything off the shoulder before. I’m a little skeered.

Also, I have a pretty awesome farmer’s tan goin’ on thanks to all this running. That farmer’s tan is really going to complete the outfit. Ya know, farmer’s tans are the new sexy.

Who is watching Touch?

If you’ve been around these parts for awhile, then you are well aware of my Jack Bauer obsession appreciation. I’ve watched the pilot of Touch and I enjoyed it, but I haven’t seen any of the other episodes. Curious as to what your thoughts are on the show.

Also, who was a Friday Night Lights fan?

Rigs has a movie out right now and another one coming out in May. Have you seen John Carter?

Well, I went and did something crazy. I had it printed on a 24 x 36 canvas gallery wrap and hung it in our kitchen/dining area. Darth Vader now lives on my wall.

Also, I take amazing iPhone pictures. And dontcha just love the garbage spilling out of the baskets?

I talked my parents into going to the 9:45 showing of The Hunger Games last night.

Just in case y’all were wondering, I don’t leave my house at night. I’m very fond of my stretchy pants and comfy chair with matching comfy ottoman.

Back to The Hunger Games . . . it was good. I read the books a couple of years ago before it went and got all famous. Did you watch it this weekend? Or do you ignore whatever seems to be all the rage?

Also, I’m totally dragging this morning. Draaaaaggggging.

In other news, I blew. it. up. this weekend. Aunt Flo decided to pay a visit and I’ve been giving into cravings right and left. Aunt Flo can be really annoying with all her demands for chocolaty goodness and salty scrumptiousness (is that a word?).

What I’m saying is . . . I’m dreading Wednesday.
