{Cue the Music} Back in the Saddle Again

Today was the day. The dreaded day. The oooh-I-don’t-wanna day. The oooh-do-i-really-hafta day.

I’ve so enjoyed Christmas vacation. Both the freedom and the chaos.

Apparently, I wasn’t the only one suffering from the oooh-i-don’t-wanna attitude . . . .

I survived. We survived. And it actually wasn’t too bad, either. ;-)

I decided not to bring any electronics up to the school room this morning. No laptop. No iphone. No nuffin’. {Er . . . except for my camera.} I didn’t want any distractions. It was so nice to just focus on the task at hand and not be tempted to check my e-mail, texts or other such stuff.

I really need to do that more often. *Ahem* Like everyday.

I’ve been thinking a lot about goals. Probably because it seems like so many people are posting theirs. Would y’all stop that already?!

Just joking.

I’m thinking I ought to set some for myself. Maybe it would help me be more motivated and/or productive.

Are you a goal setter?

Afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch

I was handed a map of the maze.

It went in my back pocket. I decided to be guided by an eight, six and four year old.

I’m adventurous like that. Besides, I knew if we got lost I could just yell really loud.

We wound our way through the maze.

The boys ran.

I walked.

Certain little people had to stop and fertilize some of the corn along the way. Ahem.

When we stepped out of the maze, we were greeted with the “Corn Maze. Enter here sign.”

Sweet. We came out the way we came in.

Oooh. Look. Everyone else is coming out of the exit. Waaaaay down there.
