{Home Ec} Projects #2, 3 & 4

Out of these three projects, I’m most pleased with this one. It really was a cinch to make. Except for the time when I sewed the opening closed where the ribbon was supposed to come through. Twice. *snort*

I’m not too crazy with how this turned out, but it was my second attempt at making a cute bag for Cowgirl Princess. I was kinda sick of it after this one and decided to just be done with it. She loves it and thinks it’s the greatest thing ever. I love that girl!

I feel kinda like a goober about my Round Bunting Project. I ended up using the same exact word as the example. Original, no? It adds some much needed color to my sewing area. Ignore the mess, please. Thank you.

If you’re taking Home Ec, how are your projects going?

{Home Ec} Project #1 ~ Cloth Napkins

I finished the first Home Ec project this morning. Yo!

Go, Ruthanne. Go, Ruthanne. Go. Go. Go. Go.

I ended up with 18 napkins. I didn’t follow directions exactly. It’s a trait of mine. ;-) I decided to make both types of napkins double-sided. I just loved the look of the double-sided.

Yesterday, was my first time to ever use the zigzag stitch. How fun is that stitch?!

If we use them for everyday napkins, then we’ll go through all of them in a day. That kinda depresses me. Maybe we’ll save them for when guests come over and use the ones I made two years ago everyday. Even though they’re beyond ugly.

They’re just plain sad. Sad, sad, sad. Apparently, I was too lazy to look for coordinating thread and I knew zilch about thread tension.

Are you taking the Home Ec class? If so, what project are you working on?
