Be warned.
I might unintentionally step on some toes today. If I do, I promise what I say is in love.
I want you to succeed.
Also, as you read this, please know that I’ve lived this. This is not a new conversation to me. It’s one I’ve had with myself so many times.
Let me ask you some questions.
How important is this journey to you that you’re starting out on? How important is living a healthier life to you? How much do you want it? Are you ready to make some sacrifices for it? Are the boxing gloves we talked about earlier ready to see some action?
Remember when we talked about filtering? I want you to filter out the lie that says, “I don’t have the time to exercise.”
That is just not true. We all have time. Plenty of time. We just mismanage it.
Now, I’m not in any way trying to say we are not busy. We’re all extremely busy – busy with our family, our job, our community, our church, our friends, etc.
We lead busy lives, but we still have time to invest in our health.
How much time do you spend reading blogs? How much time do you spend on Pinterest? How much time do you spend watching TV or watching something on Netflix? How much time do you spend on the internet period?
This is what it comes down to: We make time for what’s important.
How you spend your time reveals what’s important to you. If we could see your life through a looking glass, what would we see?
No more “time” excuses. Look at your schedule. Where can you carve out 20 or 30 minutes? It might take some creativity. It might take some help from your spouse. You might have to get up earlier. Just ask yourself, “How much do I want this?” You’ll find the time.
P. S. I highly recommend 168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think. Phenomenal book!

I think I need to check out that book. I don’t know how many times in the past couple months I have bemoaned the fact that there are not enough hours in the day!
I am so excited! Yesterday marked the day that I am beginning my new healthy life style. I want to lose 25 pounds! I can’t wait to see your other posts in this series!
I exercise 4-5xs per week for 30-60 min. and this post still struck a chord with me. There are days when I am glad my time is not recorded like my food becuse I suspect it would be very revealing and not in a good way. Thank you for being willing to step on toes…my toes needed it! I am back in the groove. I weighed in today and lost .8! VICTORY!
I get up early every day so that I make the time; I know if I don’t do it first thing I may talk myself out of it. Plus, it feels so good to have it done & out of the way!
