Painting our school room has been a big project that’s been on my long range to-do list for a while now.
I loathe painting.
Like really, really loathe it.
It took me a while to work up the energy and mental stamina to finally take the plunge.
It took a full week from start to finish with the painting. The room isn’t complete at this point, but I thought I’d share the progress so far.

The only thing we’ve put on the walls so far is a dry erase board.
I’m going to be working with my friend, Lindsay from Pen and Paints, on some artwork for the walls. I’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming and I’m so excited about the possibilities!
I drug this old side table out of the attic and slapped some chalkboard paint on top. I really like how it turned out.
The wall area around the bookcases is covered with chalkboard paint. I tried doing some chalk art on one wall area and gave up after a whopping five minutes.
What’s that?
Perseverance? It’s my middle name.
I have a friend from high school who is now an art teacher. She’s going to come over and work her magic on this area. I can’t wait!

Oooo . . . it looks pretty! Funny, I’m working on school room stuff today too. I just had to downsize mine to a third of the space (and just finished a whiny post about it), so I’m trying hard to not to covet your room.

BEAUTIFUL! I didn’t realize you home school. We do as well, but um…I’m so not showing you our room. Hmm, can you and your friend travel and work magic in our home school? *grin*
