My children absolutely love playing with Play-Doh.
Personally, I can’t stand the stuff.
{A} It stinks. Like really. #eewwww
{B} It gets everywhere.
I know. Imma grump.
I’m okay with that.
The one fun thing about Play-Doh . . . . seeing the creations they come up with and the joy on their faces.
I guess I can look past the mess and ignore the stink. Mostly.

I’m still happy dancing as I type. I like homemade play dough better, mainly because of the smell.
My youngest loves modeling clay which he thinks is a more adult play dough. Ha.

Im not going to say Im in love with the stuff but Ive learned to loosen up about it when my girls want to dig it outta the cupboard(where I try to hide it:)). They love to create with it and I agree…it can be very interesting and at times even downright entertaining to see what they come up with.

I am a playdough lover! I wanted to mention that homemade playdough does not smell as bad as the store bought stuff. But I rarely get around to making it from scratch. But I agree about the mess. When my daycare kids play with it I have to surround the perimeter with newspaper so not to have permanent hot pink dough in my carpet.

I am with you! Can’t stand the stuff. I buy the disposable table clothes (that are $1) and cut them in half. Then I just throw them away (along with half of the play doh on them! :X)
We honestly only get the play doh out a couple times a year, which is great because the kids get so excited that they easily play with it for four hours, which makes the mess worth picking up!!

As I kid growing up, I hated the stuff because of the smell. It would make me gag. I still can’t stand the smell. So…now as a teacher, we use modeling clay or the homemade stuff. No stinky smell that way.

i love play doh! but i would never let my kids play with it on a cloth… must be on a hard surface. that way when they are done, you just let it dry for one hour and then sweep it up. easy peasy!
i have seen some good recipes for homemade play-doh that include scents like cinnamon. you could always make your own… although cheaper and easier with the vibrant colors of play doh. just NEVER go cheap with off brands like Roseart… they get too mushy and make a horrid mess.
