I’m not much of an outside kinda girl. I don’t like dirt. Or bugs. Or sweating profusely when I’m not working out. Thus, I hibernate indoors during the summer months and begin to stick my head out when the soft, gentle winds of fall begin to blow.
Yesterday, was glorious. I had our windows open all. day. long.
When my manly-man called to say he was headed home yesterday afternoon, I told him I wanted to eat dinner outside by our lil’ fire pit. He was pleasantly surprised {as were my children}. Like I said. I hibernate during the summer months.

I whipped up some sandwiches for the crew.
Note to self: Stock up on hot dogs and s’more fixins for the fall.

I wanted something more than a regular ol’ sandwich for me and the man. This sandwich looked so yummy in my Cooking Light magazine. Their picture is way better than mine. Like way better. You can’t even really tell what kind of sandwich it is in my picture. Let’s just say #foodphotographyfail. Mmmmkay?
In case you’re wondering, you can find the recipe here: Mushroom and Provolone Patty Melt
And yes, it is good.
If you follow the Weight Watchers Point System, this sandwich is worth 9 pts. You’re welcome.

The beer is integral to the enjoyment and relaxation process. *snort*
It’s also worth 3 pts. Totally worth it. Ya know . . . . if you like beer. {My mom is gagging right about now. Hi, Mom!}

I love this guy. His smile lights up my world.

What do you look forward to during fall? Do you have any family traditions?
