************ First 100 Orders! ************ {This is now closed! Winner announced at bottom of post.}
As of early this morning, I’ve made my first 100 sales. Can I get a fist pump? Yo.
In honor of this momentous occasion {big cheesy grin}, I’ve created a Flickr group. If you’ve purchased or won one of my camera strap covers or aprons, take a picture of yourself with it on or have someone take a picture for you and add it to the group. This will be your entry for a chance to win a $25 credit to my shop ~ to be used on anything of your choice. You’ll have until this Friday at midnight to upload a picture. I’ll announce the winner Saturday morning.
************ Home Ec ************
I’ve signed myself up for Home Ec ~ an online sewing class. It costs $60 and you make 26 projects. With each project, you learn at least one new sewing skill and also, each project builds on the skills you learned in the one before. It’s self-paced, so you can go as fast or as slow as you want. I’m so excited about this y’all. I basically know one stitch. The straight stitch. I hope it’s okay to admit that even though I have an Etsy shop.
Here’s a list of all the different projects:
Cloth Napkins (2 ways)
Gift Pouch
Reusable Grocery/Book Bag
Round Bunting
Supplies Roll-Up
Ironing Board Cover
Curtains
Quilted Pot Holder
Reversible Bib
Hemming Jeans
Pencil Case
Resizing a Skirt or Dress
Jersey Wrap Skirt
Plushie Toy
Cushion/Pillow Case with Piping
Ruffled Duvet Cover
Fabric Storage Cubby
Padded Laptop Case
Full Apron
Leather & Canvas Purse
Mod Table Runner
Drafting/Creating a Pattern
Hanging Shoe Organizer
Messenger Bag
How to Read a Commercial Pattern
Flying Geese Quilt
How to Invent & Adapt Projects
Total awesomesauce, huh?
You can either click on the picture above, the button on the side bar or here for more information, registration and more.
Who wants to join me?
I’ll be sharing each project with you as I finish. It’ll be like show and tell.
************ Not-Back-to-School Blog Hop ************
In other news, if you’re a homeschooler, you’ll want to mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Not-Back-to-School Blog Hop. Darcy is passing the torch to the Heart of the Matter Online. Last year, it was a great way to meet other homeschool bloggers, see new curriculum and score some fresh ideas.
Here’s the schedule:

************ Heart of the Matter Conference ************
The Heart of the Matter Online is also hosting a homeschooling conference Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 13. They have an incredible line-up of speakers: Susan Wise Bauer, Sally Clarkson, Jeannie Fulbright, and many more. It costs $19.99 and among other goodies you receive a virtual swag bag {that’s lingo for “It’s free!”} filled with items from Currclick valued at $290. For more information, visit their website.
****************************************
The winner of the $25 shop credit chosen via Random.org is . . . . Aimee Buxton. Congrats! Contact me for details.

Girl, your blog is like coming to a candy store of information today. Just registered for the conference. Yay! I’ll try to participate in this blog hop… Looks like fun. Home Ec looks like so much fun. {Your confessions make me feel normal. Just sayin’.} Can’t wait to see what you make. Of course, I’ll have to balance all of this with watching s8 of 24. Yep, we caved and bought it.

Hi (I didn’t see a place to email you, so I’m leaving a blog comment … hope that’s ok!)
I’ve been browsing your etsy shop and your camera straps are so cute! I run an advertising site based out of both St. Louis and Dallas that advertises for various companies to bloggers nationwide – http://www.dandygiveaway.com. We promote giveaway features and sidebar advertising as well as our newest feature — Dandy Deals.
With Dandy Deals, we highlight a steal of a deal (of your choosing) or a promo code for one week. I know our readers would love to check out your shop. We do offer discounts for signing up for more than one ad — we’d love to help you grow your business, so please let me know if you’d like more information about being featured on Dandy Giveaway
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

I signed up for the Home Ec! I was worried about the time thing but was swayed by the fact that it really does cover EVERY SINGLE sewing project/skill that I want to learn. Woot woot! Keep me accountable, girl!
