My Random Post of Randomness

Blondie turned four last week. He told us he wanted a “Wuke, Weia and Darf” birthday party. Mmmkay. His cuteness kills me.

I’ve discovered that my pointy-finger-thingamajig works great for wiggly boys while reading.

I placed our big order for school curriculum yesterday afternoon. I switched curriculum again with spelling and grammar. I kinda felt bad, rolled my eyes at myself and chuckled. These lyrics were singing in my head:

“It’s my prerogative
I can do what I want to do . . ”

And then I remembered it was a Bobby Brown song. And threw up.

I hopped on a plane over the weekend to spend some time with my homie. I laughed. A lot. As usual. There was probably some snorting going on, as well.

Picasso and I made Elmo cupcakes. He’s the next Cake Boss, for sure. Handyman demonstrated the fine art of stuffing your face with a cupcake. I have photographic evidence; however, I can’t bring myself to post it. I’m embarrassed for him. *snort out loud*

Darcy took me to the Iowa State Fair and showed me the infamous Butter Cow. Literally, a cow made out of butter. I can’t make this stuff up, y’all. You can see some of the shots I took here.

Note: If you notice glaring similarities between Darcy’s shots and mine, it’s because I mimicked her every move.

I tweeted this while traveling home Monday night:

“The waiter at the airport restaurant just carded me. I think I’m in love.”

About five minutes later, a gentleman sitting catty-corner to me {with very salt & pepper hair and with a full beard} was carded. Totally took the wind out of my sails.

Note: I didn’t really think I was in love with the waiter. I was exaggerating. It’s been known to happen. Occasionally.

I was carded buying glue today at the store, right in front of my husband. I was bragging about it until the guy at the register informed me that he only need to see my id because he had to punch my birthday in to ring up the glue. It was a stab right through my old beating heart.

I thought for sure your other kidlets were going to be dressed up as Wuke, Weia and Darf for the party! Tell them it is never too late to come through for me, I mean Blondie.

You take such great pictures. I’m jealous you got to hang with the Boybarians and their queen.

Cow made out of butter. So does that mean it would be okay if I wiped its butt with a piece of bread and ate it?
