Eclectic Whatnot {Volume . . . . Um, I don’t know.}

I feel an apology is in order.

I need to apologize to my manly man for purchasing this shirt for him years ago when I thought it would be cool. I have no excuse for my lack of *cool* judgment. I scare myself sometimes. There are some things in life you just do not need to purchase and this shirt is one of them.

{Note: If you purchased your husband this shirt, I’m quite sure he looks dashing in it, so just ignore me.}

Being the sensitive man he is, he didn’t throw it out. Instead, he decided to use it as his lawn mowing shirt. I applaud his genius.

The particular day I snapped this picture, the children were holding a baseball game. He was the pitcher. I was the photographer.

Through my zoom lens, I was admiring the way his muscles looked as he pitched the ball. And I told him so. A lot. Notice his smirk.

He likes that I like his muscles.

Being married is fun, y’all.

It’s probably time for a subject change {before Marsha’s gag reflex starts flaring up again}.

I love teachable moments, such as the following:

Junior: Why do people call board games, “Bored Games”? Is it because they play it when they’re bored?

Me: {Internal *snort* because of his cuteness} That’s a great example of a homonym, buddy.

********************************************************************************

Next subject matter . . . .

I love this shoe. I love everything about this shoe. I love how I feel in this shoe.

I will wear these this summer, even if I have to hurt somebody. Not really. I wouldn’t hurt a fly. Well, probably a fly. Using my fly swatter.

Have a lovely, lovely weekend, y’all.

If you haven’t entered the giveaway for a $50 gift card to Lisa Leonard Designs, don’t miss out! It ends Sunday at midnight CST.

    Is it bad that I saw that shirt before I read anything and thought “oh, what a cool shirt”?
    Too funny about the “bored games”. I guess it depends on what game you play. :P

    Btw, I love those shoes.

    I kinda like that shirt. We have a Father’s Day tradition in our house of buying those “Rockin’ Dad” and “World’s Greatest Dad” t-shirts. They are always relegated to yard work or painting, with an occasional accidental venture into the public world of Home Depot or Lowe’s. Just yesterday I picked up a “Lawn Enforcement Officer” shirt for him. *snort* It makes me laugh just thinking about it.

    We are totally uncool at our house (and probably just as gag as y’all). It’s a good thing to be so in love with each other that it makes everyone else throw up just a little in their mouth. Well, good for us and bad for them!

    Those shoes kick butt. LOVE them. I bought some gladiator-type sandals, only not quite as tough as it sounds. David calls them my goddess shoes. He loves them. A LOT. Grrrr baby!

    (It’s a good thing Coco commented before me so she doesn’t see what I wrote and roll her eyes at me– just before she throws up just a little.)

    I kinda almost like it too… I came over because in my reader it was too small, I couldn’t see anything wrong with it… okay, so my husband would NOT wear it… oh maybe for lawn mowing or crawling in crawl spaces under old houses or washing the dog…

    yeah. well, from faraway it’s not so bad anyway :) and I’m sure the verses are good…
