I {Heart} Faces Nashville Photowalk

Ok. I may go down in “Bloggy Friend History” as the meanest, most insensitive bloggy friend ever.

On Sunday, the day most everyone was driving or flying home from the conference, I drug Melissa and Marsha to downtown Nashville for the I {Heart} Faces Photowalk.

It was a bit chilly and Melissa doesn’t like the cold. Ok. Like is probably not a strong enough word.

Let me put it this way. One time, Marsha and I came back up to the hotel room to relax a bit and when we opened the door, it was like walking into a kiln. Melissa had the heat set at almost 80 degrees. I could hardly breathe!

She asked nicely if we could just drive home. She missed her kids, her husband, her routine.

Being the sweet, sweet person that I am ~ I said,

“No! We’re staying! Man up!”

There she was, trudging through downtown Nashville in 30 degree weather. Her thighs like icicles. Running in place to keep the circulation going.

Me? I was having the time of my life. Ignoring all her pain and suffering.

*snort*

There’s a voice inside me that’s saying I should feel awful, but the voice is so small and hushed it can be easily ignored. ;-)

  2. Wow, that photowalk was amazing. I have to admit that I much prefer just looking at your pictures from the safety and warmth of my home! I am like Melissa—that was too cold for me! Although I keep my house at 76 degrees!

JJ ~ you are almost too gorgeous to behold. No Joke.

And just so you know, I sorely tempted to snatch you bald-headed just so I could wear your adorable turquoise headband with the feather.

  5. Ruthanne, you crack me up! You are downright hilarious and I loved getting to meet you! Hopefully when it’s warmer, we can meet up again. We should all just meet in Kentucky in July or August. That would make Melissa wish she never said anything about heat. ;)

It was so lovely to meet you in person, Hannah! I wish I had a plan mapped out when I was your age. Seriously. I’m so impressed with your goals and your determination to meet them. It’s inspiring!

You are SO MEAN! That’s why we can be friends.

I think you need to take over my blog for me. I’ll just give you the gist of what I want to say and then you can pretty up the pictures and make it funny for me.

    I totally <3 you.
