Sweater Stockings

Stockings hung by the fire (2)

Several weeks ago, Edie over @ Life in Grace posted a tutorial on how to make sweater stockings. Her stockings turned out so charming I decided I had to make some, too.

I raided the attic and my closet and almost two weeks after I started, I finally finished.

I’m laughing at myself. The sweater stockings are super easy to make. I just tend to have ADD when it comes to any kind of project. I start out strong and really focused and then I get distracted by all kinds of other projects I want to do. Can anyone relate?

Sweater Stockings 2

I tried to dress up the girl stockings a lil’ bit ~ because Cowgirl Princess and I like a lil’ bit of fru-fru.

Sweater Stockings

The boy stockings just had a bell hot glued onto the toe.

Love me some bokeh

This picture has nothing to do with the stockings. I just plain love the bokeh in it. It speaks to me.

Wow, is that your house? Very pretty!

Such a coincidence you posted about this today! Just last night I took a Recycled-Felted-Sweater class at my local knit shop. It was a blast! Plus now I have thousands of ideas swirling around in my head – things I can make using a sweater from the thrift store. My Christmas knitting is so far behind schedule, I may as well give up and call it next year's schedule. But I can still give handmade gifts! I started some mittens for the kids, and I am going to needle-felt some personalized decorations on them. So! Excited! It was all I could do to not prowl around town looking for an open thrift store at 8pm last night…

Love it! And your living room makes me wanna come over with a cup of my German Chocolate Cake Coffee and snuggle by your fire under one of those cozy throws! Want me to bring you a cup? :-)

I am so jealous of you sewers! Wait that spells sewers…as in gross stinky waste filled holes. Let me rephrase that…You people that have sewing skills. ;-)

Cozy scene. Warm place to be together. Love it.

And the bokeh too– except my fingers keep wanting to call it bokey. And my ADD makes me start singing the hokey bokey… you put your right foot in, you put your right foot out…

    Bokeh. Mmmm. Creamy bokeh.

I just took some juicy bokeh of the foggy Christmas lights outside. :)

That house looks like a magazine. I hope you don't really live there. You are making me look bad. :)

So what program are you using for your collages and corner cropping?
