*Squeeeeal!*
You found me!
Pardon my excitement, but I’m just so . . . excited. 
Several months ago I approached my darling friend, Darcy, about designing a new look for my blog. A look that would include some wider space for bigger pictures. Her response was, “You’re fired!” Ok. Not in those exact words, but she did fire me as a client. Kinda. Sorta.
After the initial shock and horror wore off, I picked myself up off the floor, wiped the snot from my nose and tears from my cheeks, and decided it was time to sink or swim. If Darcy believed I could design my own site, then it was time to find out.
After many, many, manymanymanymany hours of serious brain labor, this site is the end result. {Thank you, Darcy, for being my mentor and biggest cheerleader!}
In changing the name of this blog, I’m going back to my roots. Back in the day {when I had maybe two readers}, Eclectic Whatnot was the original name of this blog. I think that name captures all this blog encompasses.
My favorite part of the move is this:
Really, really big pictures. I could go bigger, but I don’t want to scare anybody.

A few things to point out:
~ The new URL is http://eclecticwhatnot.com {Be sure to bookmark it!}
~ You’ll find Google Friend Connect in one of the lower sidebars. I would love for you to add your puuuurdy face to it.
~ On the bottom of each post, there are lots of ways to share the post with others: print, e-mail, Facebook, Stumble, Twitter, etc. . . {I love that feature!}
~ With the first comment you leave, you will be required to verify who you are. This will only be required with the first comment, all other comments will be smooth sailing.
~ Up at the top of the site there is a subscribe button. If you would like to subscribe via e-mail or a reader, then clickety-click on that button.

Love your site. Very clean. I use wordpress and thesis too. You did a great job. And boy do I understand. Knowing nothing, I did my own too and it required massive brain power. I just went from 3 colums to 2. But your 1 is inspiring. God bless!

Love the new look…and I loved hearing that you did it yourself. That’s very encouraging; it means that maybe someday (like in a billion years) I can figure out how to get a pretty new blog myself! Hahahahaha! I’ve talked to our mutual friend enough to know that you are superwoman, and I shouldn’t even entertain delusions of such grandeur!
