I received some questions about the sweater stockings, so in the interest of de-mystifying what I did and proving that I’m not really a seamstress . . . . here goes.
For the letters on the stockings, I opened up word, typed the letter, picked the font and increased the size {Font ~ Edwardian Script ITC; Size ~ 400}.
I printed out each letter, cut them out and traced them onto different pieces of felt. The tracing wasn’t perfect because I should have used card stock when printing. Regular printer paper is a tad too floppy.
I plugged in my hot glue gun and while it was heating up I cut out the felt letters. Then, I hot glued those bad boys onto each stocking.
The flowers on the girl stockings were traced onto felt using a cookie cutter. They were also hot glued on, along with the button and ribbon.
Actually, everything was hot glued on. Well, except for the stocking itself. I did sew that, but it was so easy it hardly counts.

What an awesome idea! Where did you get your stockings?

Those are amazing! We use wooden shoes instead of stockings, but I just love this idea.
