Children’s Theatre

My crew loves to act out plays – much loved Bible stories, ones they’ve created themselves and some they’ve seen at our local children’s theatre. They just love putting on shows!

I asked my dad if he would be interested in working on another project for our schoolroom and he graciously agreed. He put the frame together, I spray painted it and sewed some old sheets to make curtains.

This is sure to provide hours of entertainment:

Now, Dad – I’ve been thinking . . . . . of another project! ;D

My new white board

My dad, since being furloughed the end of January, has been busy on all kinds of projects for our schoolroom. I tell you – he has such a servant’s heart and is such a go-getter. I love that guy!

Up until last spring, the children and I always did our school down in the dining room and I used the two little boards on the far wall.

Then I decided to revamp and we moved upstairs.

Since that time, I’ve had to walk back down said stairs anytime I needed to demonstrate something on the board. Out of control, wasn’t it? I decided that was just too much work (no laughing) and began pricing stand alone white boards.

Oh my! Way out of my price range.

That’s when my wheels began turning and I called my dad. He took my idea and ran with. Here’s what he put together for me.

I spray painted it silver and hung buckets on the bottom.

When I say this was made at a fraction of what it would have cost me to buy in-store, I mean it was made at a fraction of the cost. The boards I was pricing on-line ran anywhere from $1,000 to $1,600 – this board was made for under $100!

What do you think?
